I’m Jessica—wife to Adam, mama to Esther, and the photographer behind Malin Portraits. My faith in Jesus shapes the way I love and serve others, and becoming a mother has deepened my understanding of just how quickly family life changes.

I’m drawn to what I call “laid-back luxury”—a blend of relaxed authenticity and timeless beauty that allows your session to feel comfortable, personal, and beautifully refined. I also know how full your days can feel and how easily meaningful photographs can remain on a phone, waiting for the time you never seem to find.

That is why I have designed the Malin Portraits experience with mothers in mind. I guide you through wardrobe and session preparation, photograph your family with a blend of digital and film, and thoughtfully design your finished heirloom album. You do not need to know how to pose, coordinate every detail, or create the album yourself. I will gently guide you through each step so you can stay present and enjoy this season with your family.

Based in Knoxville, I blend a heart for storytelling with an artist’s eye, creating organic, heirloom photography that celebrates life’s most beautiful moments

I’m a wife, mama, and wholehearted lover of slow, simple days. You’ll often find me with a hot cup of coffee, baking gluten free goodies in the kitchen, curled up with a mystery novel, or swinging my daughter in our backyard. I believe life’s sweetest moments are the unplanned ones — the giggles, the crumbs, the messy hair — and I carry that joy into everything I do.
